Fruit of the Spirit

Thursday, February 27 was our second day at the camp, and most of it was spent doing camp activities and sessions. It was a more relaxed schedule than we are used to in most Canadian camps, as a lot of the activity time was spent simply talking with people or playing casual soccer or basketball games.
One more organized activity we did was a hike, which brought us up to an amazing view of the area around the camp. It was great to be able to spend time with some of the campers during that time. We also had two sessions, where students shared about joy and peace, as the theme of the camp was the Fruits of the Spirit.
Something that stood out a lot from the sessions was the worship, as we could see that the people leading and some of the others did not have the opportunity to worship with other believers very often, so this was a great blessing for them. It was also a reminder that we can take worship for granted, and often don’t realize what a privilege it is to be able to worship all the time. It was also very evident that the Holy Spirit was at work during this time.
Overall, it was a day of connecting with new people and seeing how God is at work in the lives of people at camp.
