Travel to Cordoba

Friday was our team’s final day at Manantiales de Vida camp in the hills of Southern Spain. We said many goodbyes to the friends we had made from the Renacer church in Algeciras, as well as the campers who we had connected with during our two and a half day stint at the camp. It’s always hard to leave new friends behind, and we will likely not see any of them again, which makes the goodbyes that much more difficult.
Next, our team travelled to Cordoba by train in two separate groups, because one group had to go back to Malaga to drop off the rented van we had been using for the trip to camp. We have experienced many modes of transportation on this trip, from driving to flying to taking a ferry, walking, and now riding the train. It was a cool experience to see the hilly countryside flying by on the hour-long train journey from Malaga to Cordoba.
Once we arrived in Cordoba, we faced a 30 minute walk to our apartments in the steady rain, crossing an ancient Roman bridge. Fortunately, our things didn’t get too wet except for our feet and shoes. After settling in, we had pizza together at a nearby restaurant.
After a long day, beginning with farewells and travel, we were all ready to take the opportunity to rest for the night.
Prayer Requests:
- Health for our team
- Wisdom and insight to see where God has been moving and teaching us during this whirlwind of a fortnight in Spain
- Strength and energy to finish our trip well, there’s only a few days left until we leave for home!
