Steinbach Bible College (SBC) is seeking a mission-fit strategic leader to serve as our Director of Recruitment and Communications. This position provides leadership for student recruitment, admissions strategy, and institutional communications while advancing SBC's mission, enrollment objectives, and community engagement.

The successful candidate will be a committed follower of Jesus Christ who affirms the SBC Statement of Faith and Community Covenant and is passionate about Christian higher education.

Key Responsibilities:

Administrative Leadership
As a member of the Administration Team, the Director will:

• Participate in bi-weekly Administration Team meetings and administrative retreats. 
• Contribute to institutional planning, assessment, and strategic initiatives. 
• Prepare and present reports for the Board of Directors. 
• Develop and manage departmental budgets.

Recruitment Leadership  
The Director will provide strategic leadership for all recruitment initiatives and enrollment activities by:

• Developing and implementing recruitment strategies, plans, and procedures. 
• Leading efforts to attract and enroll mission-fit students. 
• Supervising recruitment staff and student recruitment initiatives. 
• Providing leadership and support to the Admissions Counsellor, including oversight of communication workflows, CRM systems, and prospective student follow-up processes. 
• Hiring part-time student workers as needed. 
• Overseeing financial aid recruitment initiatives. 
• Tracking recruitment performance metrics, assessing outcomes, and evaluating return on investment (ROI). 

Communications Leadership  
The Director will oversee SBC's communications strategy and brand development by:

• Providing supervision and support to the Marketing Coordinator. 
• Ensuring consistent, timely, and mission-aligned communications across all departments. 
• Strengthening SBC's visibility and relevance among prospective students, alumni, churches, pastors, ministry leaders, and the broader community. 
• Collaborating with Advancement and Alumni Relations on communication and promotional campaigns. 
• Overseeing institutional publications, articles, stories, and periodicals. 
• Developing relationships with media outlets and coordinating news releases and feature stories. 
• Overseeing website content and maintenance. 

Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess:

• A Bible College degree or equivalent theological education. Degree in Leadership or Communications an asset. 
• Experience in recruitment, admissions, enrollment management, marketing, communications, or a related field. 
• Demonstrated leadership and supervisory experience. 
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills. 
• Strong organizational, strategic planning, and project management abilities. 
• Experience managing budgets and evaluating program effectiveness. 
• Familiarity with digital marketing, social media platforms, and CRM systems. 
• A passion for Christian post-secondary education and student development. 
• Agreement with the SBC Statement of Faith and Community Covenant.
