FACULTY & STAFF
Gord Penner, ThM
Professor, Old Testament
Professor Gord Penner teaches Bible courses at SBC specializing in Old Testament studies.
Gord Penner loves motivating college students and church groups to dig deeper into the Word. He has spent the past 30 years teaching Bible courses at Steinbach Bible College and enjoys the many opportunities he gets to teach in churches throughout North America. Gord grew up as a “missionary kid” in Northern Manitoba and inherited a love for the communities and the people of the North which continues to influence his ministry and his teaching. This missions heart brought them to Belize for several years, and he admits that “half my heart is in Northern Manitoba and half of it is in Belize,” adding that the rest (which is still a LOT) is at SBC. Gord and his wife Laura have four married children, who love music, ministry, and “living loud.”
