Date & Times: March 4 – 6 (Thurs-Fri, 7-9:45pm and Sat 9am-4pm).
Instructor: SID KOOP has a master’s in youth and family ministry, is currently working on his doctorate in next generation ministries, and has spent over 20 years in full time youth work. He is currently the Executive Director of the Youth Worker Community, encouraging and equipping youth workers to better disciple the teens God has placed in their care. Sid is married to Jenn who is the Executive Director of Green Bay Bible Camp, in British Columbia Canada, where they live with their two teenage boys, Payton and Cole.
Description: After one year of living in a global pandemic, most of us have grown tired of doing ministry “online”. All of us should be excited about the possibility of meeting with kids in person. However, no matter what our context is, or what regulations we live under, youth ministry will always include the digital reality of our teens and our world. So what can we learn from this past year? What are the opportunities, new learnings, applications we can take with us as we move forward in youth ministry? What are the dangers and challenges of living with our new technologies? How can we help our students grow, and our ministries thrive in the digital context…in person or online?
Cost: Available for credit ($274) and audit ($137)
