Tearing Down & Building Up

Greetings Brothers and Sisters Christ!
Yesterday was another good day here in Algeciras, Spain! We got to help Antonio & Ester out by working on a side fence project next to their house (Casa Emmaus). We started by taking out the old fence and then we put up posts for the new fence. We took a break for lunch to have cous cous, a traditional Moroccan/North African dish. It was very tasty!
After lunch some of us kept working on the fence by pouring cement around the posts while the rest of us had siestas (afternoon naps). Siesta in Spain is from 2-5 pm and is a period when businesses close for a long lunch and rest. This tradition is helpful in summer when people want to escape the hottest parts of the day.
In the evening we had three friends come over who shared their testimonies with us. They are girls similar in age to our team and each from another religious background. Their stories of their life experiences were very powerful and showed how God is faithful and brings freedom to everyone.
Lastly, we did some orientation and preparation for camp next week with Antonio & Ester and friends from their church.
Thank you for all your prayers thus far! Please keep praying for us and the ministries in Spain.
