Learning and Hearing

Monday was a day filled with lots of learning and hearing from God. We started off the day with a session at the EMC centre. We dove further into North African culture and what it looks like to build deeper and more meaningful relationships with our news friends. Lots of great conversations were had and it was great to hear more from Antonio and Esther on how they approach their ministry in Spain. They are very graceful in the way that they respect North Africans and show interest without affirming everything. There is much that we are learning from them.
After our session we enjoyed some delicious couscous made by the mother of one of the wonderful girls we have met here in Spain. For many of us, this was the first time having this dish, and it was thoroughly enjoyed by all!
After lunch we headed down to the port for a prayer walk. As we walked, God revealed to each of us different things to bring to Him in prayer. As we prayed over the city of Algeciras, we also got to thank God for the beautiful scenery all around us. From one spot on the beach, you can take in the beauty of mountains and the ocean and the city all at once.
We finished off the day at Antonio and Esther's home. We enjoyed burgers for dinner and authentic North African tea, made for us by a good friend of Antonio and Esther.
Please continue to pray for us on our journey as we meet and interact with more people everyday. Pray that the joy of Christ would be evident within us and that we would continue to be a blessing and encouragement to those around us and each other.
