Travelling to Spain

Our travel experience from Canada to Spain was very long. We left SBC on February 13 on a bus to the Winnipeg airport at 8:30am. From Winnipeg we flew about 2 hours to Edmonton, then about 8.5 hours to Amsterdam, and then another 3 hours to Malaga. But we weren’t done there, we had another 2ish hour bus ride to Algeciras and arrived on February 14. With the layovers, in total it was over 25 hours of travelling.

Even though our travel time was long and tiring, we were still able to enjoy it for the most part. Many of the students were able to have meaningful conversations with people on the plane or bus rides about life and faith. We made the most of it and had fun along the way.

A highlight of the trip for me was the drive from Malaga to Algeciras. As we drove through the costal cities, we saw many beautiful buildings and landscapes. We were surrounded by mountains and rolling hills overlooking the Mediterranean as the sun set.

When we arrived, we met with Antonio and then got settled into our accommodations. It was almost 9pm in Algeciras by the time we got settled in, so we went to bed pretty much right aways because we were all very tired. We had no major setbacks as we travelled so all in all, it was a good day.

Please pray for our team as we attend Renacer Church on Sunday morning and begin to meet new friends and build connections in Algeciras.
