MissionX - Winnipeg
SBC Mission X Winnipeg is designed for first year students to spend time in Winnipeg's core area. Students prepare for this experience through focused classroom learning about the role of the church in caring for the needy. They also prepare music and drama presentations, and spend time praying in small groups. The time in Winnipeg includes time with kids at Inner-City Youth Alive, and ministering to street people at the Salvation Army. Or they serve at a food bank or at a soup kitchen. But one thing is for sure, students learn how much they have to give and develop a heart for the marginalized in our urban centers.
