The certificate of Biblical Studies is designed to prepare you with a basic biblical foundation for discipleship in the local Church and your chosen profession. Looking for one year of growth? This program is designed for you.
Program Objectives:
- Know the biblical foundations for life.
- Develop a commitment to Christ in spiritual disciplines.
- Grow in ministry experience and vocational discernment in an accountable community.
- Acquire effective communication skills for expressing the Gospel.
Course Requirements:
Biblical and Theological Studies (15 credit hours)
- BI111 Intro. to the Bible: Old Testament (3 credit hours)
- BI121 Intro. to the Bible: New Testament (3 credit hours)
- BI221 Life and Teachings of Jesus (3 credit hours)
- TH101 Christian Spirituality (3 credit hours)
- *BI- Bible Elective (3 credit hours)
General Studies (6 credit hours)
- HU101 Communications (3 credit hours)
- FA/HU/SS General Studies Elective (3 crcedit hours)
Ministry Studies (3 credit hours)
- CM101 Intro. to Church Ministries (3 credit hours)
Open Electives (8 credit hours)
Field Education (2 Units)
*Students intending to transfer to university after one year may replace 3 credit hours of Bible electives with General Studies electives.
