B.A. Pastoral Ministry
Course Requirements (128 credit hours)
If you have a heart to lead others, consider the pastoral major. You will take courses in Pastoral Theology, Counselling and Homiletics. These will develop the skills you need to pastor in a church or to serve in a parachurch organization, as well as the foundation to proceed into a Masters program if you so choose.

Program Objectives:
In addition to the Program Objectives of the BA degree, the following objectives apply to students choosing the Pastoral Major:
- Give evidence of the personal quality of character necessary for effective pastoral ministry.
- Be aware of personal spiritual gifts, strengths, and weaknesses, particularly as they relate to pastoral ministry.
- Understand the principles and practices necessary for effective pastoral leadership in a local church.
- Have a personal philosophy of pastoral ministry based on an evangelical-Anabaptist theology of the church.
- Have the skills necessary to teach and preach the Bible effectively.
