Wow, did God work today! Throughout this trip, as a team we were talking about it and so often we have heard stories from past MissionX years about people having to pray all throughout the night and spiritual warfare battles, etc., etc., and we thought that in that regard this trip has almost been "easy", if that makes sense...
Well this will be a short update, as we are still waiting to know if we are flying back today sometime, or tomorrow morning. Last night's evening service went well. We all shared a blurb from our faith stories and Dean spent a little longer on his. It was good.
After a late night last night (once again by our own choice :D), and after heading into the arena (which was good-connected with some kids there), we were up and gone by 10:00 for a northern "bush" expereince. The four of us and Tim headed into town and then out on the winter roads (which just opened up Friday). So it was sweet driving on top of what is a swamp area in the summer.
Things continue to go well here. We got into the schools this aftternoon and we all agreed that it was a blast and lots of fun and went over better then we thought. The principal invited us back Monday, though we mentioend we were going to try to get into the high school. But yah, the people are really warm and receptive - both at the school and when we went into town this AM.
We arrived safely in Oxford House around 2:20 this afternoon! We were originally supposed to fly in tomorrow; however, skies were clear, weather is really nice (rain expected Sunday!) So Gary flew us up today.
