Alumni Updates

Since 1987 we have resided in Chilliwack BC where Bill continues his work for Avant Ministries, first as recruitor and since retiring, as an Ambassador.That takes him to places as far east as Alberta, Saskatchewan & Northern BC and yes, even Alaska. We served in SE Alaska for 30 years as church planters. In 2000 Bill was diagnosed with cancer but with radiation has been cancer free.

All is going relatively well at the Wolfe residence. Gladys has to measure her energy output since the aneurysm last July. She sings from time to time. We took the afternoon service at MSA Manner on the 4th of Feb and take the service at Menno Hospital on the 11th. We rejoice in His goodness. I have begun selling pre-paid funeral services.

I am Marianne's niece, Juanita Dueck (my mother is Janice). Marianne passed away May 8, 2004 after suffering from a bout of chemically induced pneumonia. This was due to the fact that she was diagnosed in the fall of 2003 with breast cancer. She fought hard, lost her hair in the process and still kept her smile and her faith.

Helen and I were married on Apr.21, 1940.  In 1946, with already two children, I felt led to attend Steinbach Bible School.  After graduation we went out into mission work in Saskatchewan.  By this time we had four children. In 1952 we came back to Steinbach and the next year, 1953, we lived at Steeprock Bay (Mafeking) MB, where I was employed as store clerk and missionary.
